At Trickett's, we're intentional about who we carry. You won't find us stocking brands just to fill shelf space. When we bring a product line in, it's because we've looked into it, believed in it, and thought it was genuinely worth recommending to the folks who walk through our door.

The Story Behind the Brand

Roots & Leaves was founded in 2017 by Haley Maness — not out of a business plan, but out of necessity. Haley had been struggling with Lyme disease and mold exposure for years, watching mainstream medicine offer little in the way of relief. Desperate for answers, she started researching herbal and holistic alternatives.

"God introduced me to the healing world of herbs and I haven't looked back. My first and most powerful product, Elderberry & Honey Tonic, was what began my healing journey. When I take it, I feel better. It's as simple as that."

That first tonic — infused with twelve herbs and roots plus raw honey — became the foundation of the entire Roots & Leaves line. Over time, Haley's health improved dramatically. She eventually traced her root cause to parasites, did a targeted cleanse, and found herself on the other side of 15 years of chronic fatigue, daily headaches, weekly migraines, and relentless brain fog. Healed. Naturally.

That personal transformation is baked into everything the company does. Every formula Haley creates is the product of lived experience, research, and a genuine desire to help other people find the same relief she did.

A Real Family Business

Roots & Leaves isn't a brand manufactured by a corporation and slapped with a natural label. It's a genuinely small operation run by people you could actually call on the phone.

Haley handles all product formulation and creative direction. Her husband Brandon keeps the technical and operational side of the business running. Their daughter Addie — described on their website as the "future herbalist and CEO in training" — has been shaking tea bags to help mama mix them since she was three. And Operations Manager Kris Shea oversees production, shipping, and fulfillment with the kind of care that shows up in every order that goes out the door.

Products are handmade and packaged by the team themselves. There's no contract manufacturer overseas. There's no mystery supply chain. What you get is what Haley would give her own family — that's their actual stated promise, and the way the company is built makes it one they can keep.
